Quillsen loves D.8!

by Philip Byrne March-27-2018

Dublin 8  has become a very trendy fashionable and popular location for all the obvious reasons, proximity to town, good public transport and an amazing number of gourmet restaurants, coffee shops and bars.  From Portobello, to the Liberties, South Circular Road to Christchurch and Blackpitts, areas including  Kilmainham, Rialto and Dolphin's Barn areas are all in high demand.

Portobello has really taken off in past couple of years there are lots of foodie bars, cafes and restaurants opening up in the area. Clanbrassil Street restaurants Bastible, Clanbrassil House and Gaillot et Gray, as well as other bars like The Headline and the new local MVP opened by Bodytonic group have made it a good spot to hang out.

Inchicore and Kilmainham offers similar amenities as Portabello and first time buyers are now broadening their horizons and not just concentrating on buying in Portabello. If you are thinking of selling a house in this area investors will jump at the location - being so close to St. James Hospital and Heuston Station. Buying in Dublin 8 means a short cycle/walk/Luas ride to the city centre.
