Property Market

What is happening with the property market in the Monkstown area in 2023?

There is always a strong demand for property in the South Dublin area and Monkstown is no exception. Its proximity to the city centre together with the attraction of the village centre and coastal location makes it a very desirable location. There is an excellent range of property with period properties, new builds, mature estates and attractive apartments all featured.

Two-bed apartments in the area generally sell between €400,000 and €600,000, depending on the development. Smaller three-bed modern houses generally sell in the region of €700,000-€900,000. The larger period properties can sell anywhere between €1m and €3m plus.

Given the location, it is a very desirable area for both families and downsizers with suitable properties for both these groups in high demand.

On average the length of time it is taking to agree a sale is 4-5 weeks.
