The Quillsen team has secured a Top 10 finish in this year’s Run 100 challenge in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation, marking a significant achievement for all involved. The group was recently presented with medals by Tara Comber from the charity, recognising both their impressive milestone and the enthusiasm, teamwork, and leadership shown throughout the initiative. Their efforts not only met but exceeded expectations, raising vital funds to support the fight against heart disease and stroke.
The challenge saw team members Marian McQuillan, Melanie Brady, Allison O’Hara, and Patricia Casey complete 100 kilometres each during February, culminating in a celebratory final run at St Anne’s parkrun. Colleagues from multiple branches, including Fairview, Dun Laoghaire, Terenure, and Ranelagh, came together several times over the weeks to clock up kms together, and were even joined even by a few four-legged companions. With additional support and sponsorship from the wider community, and a contribution boost from Quillsen, not only did the team smash their fundraising goal but had great fun doing so!
Well done everyone!
