There’s always something happening in Terenure, and recent months have brought some welcome new additions to the village alongside some positive developments within the wider community.
Two of the newest arrivals are Dolly’s and Póg, bringing new places to eat, meet and catch up in the heart of the village. Dolly’s is also dog-friendly, something that is sure to appeal to plenty of local residents and their four-legged companions.
And there’s more to come, with work now underway at 122 Terenure Road North on what looks set to be a new Asian restaurant, another welcome addition to Terenure’s growing food and dining scene.
Of course, what makes Terenure special isn't simply its shops, cafés and restaurants. The strong sense of community has always been a big part of the area's appeal.
One initiative we're particularly pleased to see is Autism Friendly Terenure. Terenure is an accredited Autism Friendly Town, with local businesses, community organisations, sports clubs and volunteers working together to make the area more accessible and welcoming for autistic people and their families.
It's a great example of the local community coming together to make a practical difference and helping ensure Terenure remains a welcoming place for everyone.
For those of us who know Terenure well, part of its appeal has always been its village atmosphere and established community, while still being within easy reach of Dublin city centre.
Seeing new businesses choosing to open here alongside established local favourites is another positive sign of a neighbourhood that continues to evolve while retaining its own distinctive character.
As a local business ourselves, we're always delighted to welcome new neighbours to Terenure and to see continued investment in the village we are proud to be part of.
